The Beetlejuice Mansion is Now on Airbnb—Visit if You Dare

And should you utter those fateful three words… be ready for the glowing green lights to descend. Follow them into the Waiting Room before heading into a disorienting hallway. There’s much to explore, but seek out Bob the Shrinker; he’ll help you find your way back home—hopefully without being eaten by a sandworm or ending up in Dante’s Inferno en route.

The night culminates in a chance to take part in an art class that is, in Delia’s words, designed to “inspire the exploitation of your darkest terrors for the sake of creation.” In true visionary fashion, you’ll destroy your works at the end, taking home just a small piece to treasure.

The home is available for booking between October 23 and November 4 and for visiting dates between November 26 and 27. There are 10 three-hour experiences for up to six guests on offer. It’s free to apply, with fans instead given a chance to explain why they should be the ones to bag the trip. Sadly, staying in the Mansion itself is impossible, but Airbnb will host you in nearby accommodations as part of the experience.

The handbook for the recently deceased

This is the latest offering from Airbnb’s Icons series, which has also included the chance to stay in the Polly Pocket house, escape to St Paul’s Cathedral’s hidden library, and bed down in Paris’s Musée d’Orsay during the Olympics.
