\n\nAbout the Role\n\nZero Hash is a trailblazing company that facilitates the storage of digital assets, on and off-chain settlement, and verifiable proof of assets for transactions. In the United States, Zero Hash is a FinCEN-registered Money Service Business as well as a regulated Money Transmitter that can operate in more than 45 states. Zero Hash also holds a virtual currency license from NYDFS. Zero Hash has begun an international expansion, including Australia (where it is registered with AUSTRAC as a Digital Currency Exchange), Europe, Latin America and other regions. We are seeking a smart, driven individual with experience in compliance and working with financial regulators in the European Union, particularly the Netherlands, to manage compliance and act as MLRO for our Dutch entity (registered with the DNB as a Virtual Asset Services Provider and seeking MiCAR licensing with the AFM).\n\nWhile this is a fully remote role, the successful candidate must be based in the Netherlands. \n#LI-Remote\n\nResponsibilities\n\n\n\n* Maintain an understanding of EU regulations applicable to virtual asset services providers (especially incoming MiCA and AML regulatory updates)\n\n* Provide regional compliance support for other teams within Zero Hash\n\n* Working with our EU Compliance Director to, design, implement, and manage customer onboarding and ongoing compliance processes, including anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions, in conformity with regulatory requirements\n\n* Assist in regulatory registration/licensing applications in other EU countries\n\n* Develop and maintain excellent relationships with regional regulators\n\n* Manage regulatory filings within the region\n\n* Manage regional regulatory audit responses and regulatory interactions\n\n\n\n\nRequirements\n\n\n\n* 5 -7+ years of Compliance experience, including AML, sanctions and financial crimes compliance, within a financial services company or Fintech startup\n\n* Demonstrated ability to build and oversee complex programs in a dynamic growth-minded environment\n\n* Experience working with regional financial regulators, to include audit management\n\n* University degree with strong academic credentials, legal/law degree preferred but not required\n\n* Independent, hardworking and driven with experience accomplishing tasks within a delegated environment\n\n* Strong time management skills and ability to execute tasks within tight deadlines\n\n* Strong verbal and written communication skills\n\n* Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with regulators and work effectively with colleagues across regions and business units\n\n* Strong familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Suite products\n\n* Dutch, Spanish, French or Italian language ability preferred \n\n* Crypto experience a plus\n\n\n\n\nBenefits Offered \n\nWe believe a happy, motivated, and healthy team is the best way to succeed.
